The Utah Trip

We've just recently returned to Alaska, now I have loads of laundry and info. to share. I'll do the laundry you read. No really you just sit there while I work--I think I said that to my kids last night as I was unpacking--seems appropriate here too. Just kidding.

We had a great visit with family while we were in Utah. Some of the Highlights are going to church with Grandma and Grandpa Worthington at the MTC. There is such a great spirit there. I almost cried just walking into that great building! We wanted to take pictures in front of the big wall map however, that is not permitted on Sundays between 10 and 4(just for your info).

Worthington's & Grandkids at MTC

My little sister Tami went on Good Things Utah to share a recipe for Kneaders. It was so cool to go and see all the behind the scenes stuff that happens on TV.

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July with a grand BBQ with the Worthington family. Which featured the conception of the Worthington Challenge. My whole family is having a competition to see who can swim, run, bike the farthest before Thanksgiving. I only have 2 miles so far. So keep asking how it's going--it motivates me--so does the cash!

On the 5th The Worthington kids over 12 went to see American Idol in Vegas. Oh my gosh! I was screaming like a 13 year old! We were such groupies we stayed for hours after the concert waiting for autographs and pictures. It was so awesome! Thanks Mom for a great time--no matter how old she or I get, my mom's still the funnest! I will post photos when they become available. Thanks Amy for watching my kids--you're the greatest!

My kids enjoyed getting to just play with their cousins. We had so much fun just hanging out! Thanks! It's always good to be with family--and with the Worthington's there is always an adventure!

We got to meet Angie's new puppy Indy and swim with them. Float in "the river of death" with cousins. Shop like crazy with the girls. The kids picked the peterson's garden clean--who knew kids loved gardening so much?

"Best Friends" with necklaces to prove it!

We also got to visit with Brad's family! Grandma gave them all a little piano lesson and they love to play in her secret little toy room.  ARGH, I have no photos!

Of course, there was plenty of shopping. I must say it's much easier to make up your mind when you only have two options. I will have to be formally reintroduced to shopping when we move from AK. I have forgotten how to do it! Thanks to Tami for going all over with me as I tried to make up my mind.

Well we had a great visit and got to spend time with all the family, and enjoy the warm Utah summer.

Thanks for the memories!

We totally loved having you here. Now you are going to have to come visit us in Arizona! We sure miss you, and your kids are always welcome to pick our garden clean.

Sounds like it was a blast! I;m so glad you had fun. It's important for kids to know their cousins and family, isn't it?
Speaking of which, when are we going back to Lake Powell again?

Hi Christy,
I love that you have a blog. Super fun. Your kids are all getting so big. Its fun how much they all look alike. So cute! I am just kicking myself. We have been in Utah for the last month- and we missed the opportunity to see you. I am really sad. We have a blog too- though I haven't updated it in over a month. We still aren't settled in Idaho yet. Okay, well this is turning into a long comment. I just wanted to say "howdy", and let you know I love seeing what you guys are up to.
Hugs, Heather
